Bathroom equipment required to assist the physically challenged are not usually covered by insurance companies.  The exception in Hawaii is usually the Medicaid programs.  We suggest that patient's contact their insurance companies for further coverage information on their specific policy. There is one exception honored by most all insurance companies which is the bedside commode with specific documentation. Medicaid programs usually require a pre-authorization.
